Baltic Cruise 2013

It has been fun in cruising in this area after my Med. cruise two years ago, which should be the first one for European cruises. The next one could be the fjord cruise starting from Norway if I have the time, energy and the money. The cruise ship is Visions of the Seas.

Thanks to Andy and Rachel for arranging everything and the excellent friendship from everyone. They do not even take my generous tips, but a lot of love will do :)

Brief random remarks.

* Baltic cruise is only good for about 2 months in the summer as it is too cold in the rest of the year. So, no bargain airline and hard to avoid the crowd.

* We stopped in Munich for about 9 hours. Visited the palace and garden. Magnificent! Really tired due to not much rest, jet lap, time gained, old age... After we bought a ticket, we could take all the sub way rides. No check. A world of no thieves?

* Copenhagen, Denmark is an interesting city and port (similar to Barcelona in my Med. cruise). It has a lot to offer and living standard is quite high. Prepare for a  small $50 meal per person that you need to have another meal at KFC for $15. Compared to Norway's $25 for a burger, it is a bargain!

* Bikes and wind turbines are common and they will save the world.

* You do not need to build the tallest building in the world to impress us and a little mermaid will do.

* Instead of building a pyramid or digging the entire hill to bury a king (with treasures and live folks), all the coffins are saved in a church. Great ideas. Dignified and memorial.

* Here is the link for the pictures. I have not compressed them, so it will take a while to load the 800 or so pictures. I have very fast internet (due to a discount for former employees). If it is too slow, let me know so I'll compress them.

I have some pictures including your personal pictures not in the following link I gave  to Andy and  you can ask him load from his thumb drive.

On Syria.

·         I am politically neutral. My view on Syria is from an investor’s point of view:

Our presidents never learn about the harm to our economy from Vietnam to the current two Middle East wars. Why we need to be the world’s policeman (not stated in our constitution)? Ordinary citizens care about jobs and living standards, not about who is #1.

Every bomb we dropped on Middle East would cause n (you figure n) deaths in the US due to terrorist attacks. I'm not siding with the devils, but statistics and Newton’s Law of Action/Reaction never lie.

Let them fight for their own humanity, freedom and ideology themselves - we have enough problems (such as employment) to deal with at home. Shame on us if the hidden agenda is about oil or modern Crusade. Do you think the average Syrian wants us to bomb their country? Ask any citizen from Iraq. Fighting violence with violence is just unacceptable.

How ironic that we have funds to bomb Syria while we have to lay off the government scientists due to lack of funds? Do we still encourage our high-school students go to science? Oh, what a bomber (or Obama)!
